View category Cautionary Tails Bethany Marchman’s first solo show at Beep Beep Gallery continues to explore the anthropomorphism in her past work, while also focusing on zoomorphic ideas present in fairy tales such as “The Frog Prince”. The title of the show “Cautionary Tails” references the artist’s imagining of these types of children’s stories. The characters in these works are caught up in fantastical and tragic circumstances the end result of which is used to teach morals to children by scaring them straight.
